Dedicated to improving the lives of Pattaya's stray dogs

About SAPP

The Street Animal Project Pattaya is a remarkable organization committed to the highly commendable cause of improving the living conditions of those vulnerable and often forgotten strays who wander through Pattaya’s streets, markets, waste grounds and temples. It is truly inspiring to witness the tireless efforts that the team behind this initiative put in on a daily basis to create a more compassionate community and ensure that these abandoned and neglected street animals receive the care, attention and shelter they need to thrive. By generating awareness and providing necessary resources to these animals, SAPP is helping to make a positive impact on both the animals and the community as a whole. It is important to support institutions like Street Animal Project Pattaya to ensure that they can continue to make a difference in the lives of these precious creatures who are so deserving of our love and care.

Our Mission

Street Animal Project Pattaya is dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, and rehoming of vulnerable street dogs in Pattaya, Thailand. Our mission is to provide these animals with the essential care, love, and support they need to thrive, while raising awareness and inspiring others to join our cause. Through compassionate action, community engagement, and the generous support of our sponsors and donors, we strive to create a brighter future for street dogs, ensuring their safety, well-being, and happiness.

The SAPP Story

The Street Animal Project Pattaya was born out of a compassionate desire to improve the lives of street dogs struggling to survive in harsh conditions. Formed in 2008, the project began as a personal journey of caring for these vulnerable animals, with the founder documenting their experiences and progress in a blog.

Over the years, the project has grown into a dedicated effort, and since January 2012, it has been diligently compiling monthly summaries of its work. As of 2023, daily reports are published to keep supporters informed and engaged.

Through the unwavering support of sponsors and donors, Street Animal Project Pattaya has been able to provide life-saving care and assistance to countless street dogs. The organization’s mission is to not only rescue and rehabilitate these animals but also to raise awareness and inspire others to join the cause.

Since its inception, Street Animal Project Pattaya has made a significant impact on the lives of countless street animals. SAPP has rescued and rehabilitated over 500 dogs, providing them with food, medical care and many of them with loving homes.
Our compassion compels us to ensure the basic care of stray dogs; however, we firmly believe that the most valuable service we can provide to both the community and the dogs is through sterilization. For this reason, in 2018, SAPP initiated a project financed by Soi Dog Foundation Phuket, through which more than 12,000 dogs have already been sterilized.

As a purely private initiative, SAPP provided shelter to dozens of stray dogs in rented homes over the years, until a shelter for 80 dogs could be established in 2018. However, the existing shelter serves only as a temporary solution, paving the way for a new shelter that will be affiliated with a foundation that is yet to be established.

With your kind support, we can continue to make a lasting difference in the lives of vulnerable street animals and create a better, safer world for them to live in.
